Oh, Baby: Etsy Finds - Great Nursery or Playroom Art Under $20

So we're on the hot hunt for some serious lil' kiddo art. Why? Well obviously for Baby Boy Cullen's nursery (more on that progress HERE) but we're also looking for our adorable niece Minnie too. It's almost her third birthday (hard to believe) and we always pick her up a piece of art for each birthday. You can see more on our tradition HERE. So I spent a few hours today looking on Etsy and hand-picked these adorable prints, all under $20. Be sure to check out each store and all the other prints from these talented artisans...love these!

Decorate: Etsy Finds - Easy DIY Printable and Frameable Wall Art from Calendars

Wallart1

Image from HERE

One of our favorite things to do in the new year is hunt for the perfect wall calendar. They are on super duper sale at numerous retailers for pennies on the dollar. So naturally, since we're budget minded and pretty frugal, we wait until January to snatch up our yearly calendars. Do you remember last year's fashionable fave from my home office HERE. Yep, loved that goodie! We loved it so much, we thought it would make the perfect backdrop for some great home decor in the form of wall art.

So what the heck are we talking about? Similar to our scrapbook paper framing project HERE, check out the image above for an idea of what we're imagining. Just think, if those four framed goodies were great images from your favorite calendar, wouldn't that make splendid (and affordable) wall art? Read on, readers for more pointers and explanation.

So often we pay the big bucks for awesome wall art or amazing artisan pieces, but we got to thinkin' recently. Calendars have such eye catching art, why not cut them up and frame them as uber affordable wall art. Do you have a favorite calendar from years past? Cut off the month/date part and frame that baby! Let's give you some step-by-step eye candy to make sure you're correctly following:

So there she was, on my wall, hanging in all her home office calendar pride!

Etsy Finds: How to Add Ceramic Animals Into Your Decor

How to add ceramic animals to your interior decor 1

We want to point out: Our complete adoration of those two oversize lipstick pink poodles gracing the top of those gorgeous acrylic side tables! Something this statement making deserves to come in a pair and the added pop of girlie color is très chic!

We want to point out: Zebras remind us of one our our dearest college friends. She loved zebras and the color purple and used them in all her college decor and it rocked! These black and white beauts add a great whimsical touch to such a neutral palette, don't they?

We want to point out: This gorgeous white rhino is actually from Z Gallerie (one of our faves) and is the perfect compliment to this stately and sophisticated mantel.

We want to point out: We love the unexpected addition of a ceramic animal in an area where you might not expect it. This library/office/conference room totally gets a punch of appeal with the J Adler Helen of Troy horse statue.

Etsy Finds: CasaCullen Shops Local - Massachusetts

Etsy artisans that rock in massachusetts

I love Etsy! I find some of the most original pieces of artwork, home accents, accessories and gifts on Etsy. It got me thinking...why would I not be sharing this amazing site with all my readers?

First and foremost, I like to shop local. How do I do that? It's so easy! Go to Etsy's homepage and look on the bottom left under the Explore header. Select Shop Local and voila...you're in the know!

Today we're shopping semi-local and rounding up some of the best artisans all over Massachusetts. I used to spend my college summers in Massachusetts nannying for a family that had a home outside Boston and one in Cape Cod. I have a special place in my heart for this gorgeous state and my sister/her hubby owned a condo in Cambridge too.

With that being said, I've rounded up some great home decor finds on Etsy with artisans all over Massachusetts. I'll lay out the price-point, artisan link and item link below for each piece featured above. I'll even tell you WHY I love it too. Enjoy!

1. Glass Jar with Origami Stars for $10 by HeartEarring

This adorable glass jar chock-full of over 200 handmade origami stars just rocks my world. It would look great as decor in a cheery home office or fabulous in a nursery too.

2. Milk Glass Punch Set for $100 by Jenglo

12 lil' tea cups plus a 13" diameter bowl (with stand) makes this set the perfect lady-like centerpiece for all of your fashionable and fun summer entertaining. This is truly something that every domestic loving lady would appreciate for years to come.

3. Chicago Sky Three for $225 by Paper Cuts by Joe

Inspired by the negative space between the buildings of a Chicago 2009 skyline, these cutouts rock my world. What a conversation piece and such a sleek and modern idea for some wall art.

4. Keep Calm Parody for $10 by Earmark

Love, love, love this! I'm so sick of Keep Calm and Carry On so this just makes me smile from ear to ear! How hilarious to put in a home office or even in your office at work. This adorable print will surely bring the laughs!

5. Telephone Pole Book for $41 by Grimm

A gorgeous journal/book just does it for me everytime. This five sectioned, 160 page, handmade, linen covered goodie just took my breath away. Love the original photograph and the fact that it lies flat when open too.

6. Hooped Framed Wall Hanging for $40 by Caitlin Sainio

This gorgeous 'Tree on a Hillside' piece would be magical and totally enticing on any interior wall. The craftsmanship levels and detail are awesome and even thinking about seeing this gorgeous piece hanging in a fantastic shadow box has me wanting to order it pronto!

7. Cupcake Girl for $3.50 by Simply Cute by Karin

I'm sure you know a lot of somebodies that adore some cupcake eating. This card stating 'cupcake on the brain' is beyond adorable. Make sure to check out more of Karin's great illustrations...so talented!

8. Pair of blue glass apothecary canisters for $16 by Violet Q Vintage

You know my love for all things turquoise so these 7" and 5 1/2" removable lid jars are show-stoppers and perfect for numerous home decor needs.

9. Pair of vintage bird color prints for $16 by Ethanollie

You must take some time and breeze through this seller's shop. Some of the best priced vintage finds I've ever laid my eyes on. These sweet bird prints are the perfect accent pair for a breakfast nook area or over each nightstand. We adore this seller!

Etsy Shops: Great Handmade and Vintage Items for Springtime and Easter

Related Posts with Thumbnails

Great easter finds for your home on etsy

I love Etsy! I find some of the most original pieces of artwork, home accents, accessories and gifts on Etsy. It got me thinking...why would I not be sharing this amazing site with all my readers?

Today I've decided to not do a local roundup like I've done before in Austin, TX, Portland, OR, Baltimore, MD and Vancouver, BC. We here at CasaCullen also opened up our own shop. Check it out HERE! With everything pretty much under $30, you have no reason not to add a touch of chic into your home decor, via us. Here are some quck links directly below to entice your senses. Click any of the thumbnails below for more info:

Also, I've even featured a piece in today's round-up from our own store that I deemed extremely spring appropriate and I want one of you to scoop it up, right away! It's beyond adorable and such an ideal conversation piece for only $18. Can you guess which one it is? You'll have to keep reading to find out.

Featured above are 6 amazing artisans from Etsy that I've handpicked for you. I'm adoring the sweet throw pillow in the number one spot. How adorable would that look in your reading chair or even as your accent throw pillow on your bed? The adorable Easter dish towel in spot two also grabbed my attention because I think the idea of a dish towel in dress form is just witty as can be. So now when people ask if you've gotten your Easter dress you can promptly reply, 'My kitchen has!'

Doesn't that rooibos tea in the third spot have you yearning for a cup of perfectly steeped goodness? Me too! The 'Peep This' card in spot five is beyond awesome. I love Peeps and have to hold myself back from gorging on them every Easter. If someone sent me this card for Easter...I'd die laughing.

I think the two pieces of art in spots six and seven would look adorable in a nursery (for all my mommy readers out there) or just a nice accent piece to ring in spring in a bright and light-hearted way. I've also done you a big favor and provided links to each product along with a link to the seller's shop too.

Make sure to take a minute and browse through their shops. I could literally spend hours on Etsy just window shopping. Enjoy and be sure to check out all our Easter and springtime fashion and beauty finds on our sister blog - RunwayDaily!

Etsy Finds: CasaCullen Shops Local - Vancouver, BC

Etsy artisans in vancouver bc

I love Etsy! I find some of the most original pieces of artwork, home accents, accessories and gifts on Etsy. It got me thinking...why would I not be sharing this amazing site with all my readers?

First and foremost, I like to shop local. How do I do that? It's so easy! Go to Etsy's homepage and look on the bottom left under the Explore header. Select Shop Local and voila...you're in the know!

Obviously, I adored our last lineup from Baltimore, MD but today's featured location is none other that the great Vancouver, BC. I thought it only acceptable to feature this gorgeous city and its artisans since they're beyond busy with the Winter Olympics. I just wanted to highlight the other creative aspects of Vancouver and my gosh, I couldn't contain myself. For the first time ever on Etsy Finds there are eight artisans featured because I couldn't choose just six.

I've actually never been to Vancouver but all the images shared with us during these Olympic winter games have got me totally wanting to head up there. I'm sure they'll be overflowing with tourists post-Olympics so I'll make sure to put it on my to-do list. But I'll wait till the rush slows down which will probably be for a few years. So back to the post at hand, these gorgeous artisans in Vancouver are making me drool.

Featured above are eight fabulous artisans with their Etsy store links below. Let's dissect. How about that amazing embroidery picture frame tray in the number one spot for under $17? Love it! And then that antique galvanized coal bucket for $30 caught my eye right away. I'm also a sucker for a collage so how about that bottom right image titled she addressed herself to the dark hearts of the tall trees for for $17? Assembled from images hand cut from vintage magazines, this piece would look good anywhere.

Obviously, some fabulous finds on Etsy from Vancouver, BC artists...remember to browse through the artisans shops at great length via the links below. Bravo to all the awesome Canadian artisans. Enjoy and make sure to check out ALL of our Vancouver, BC fashion and beauty finds too on our sister blog - RunwayDaily right HERE!

Etsy Finds: CasaCullen Shops Local - Baltimore, MD

Shop local on etsy in baltimore md

I love Etsy! I find some of the most original pieces of artwork, home accents, accessories and gifts on Etsy. It got me thinking...why would I not be sharing this amazing site with all my readers?

First and foremost, I like to shop local. How do I do that? It's so easy! Go to Etsy's homepage and look on the bottom left under the Explore header. Select Shop Local and voila...you're in the know!

Obviously, I adored our last lineup from Portland, OR but today's featured location is none other that the great Baltimore, MD. Chock-full of great creators and imaginative artisans that include one of our favorite shows Ace of Cakes. Ahhh, I totally have a secret crush on the crazy Duff.

I've actually never been to Baltimore but one of CasaCullen hubby's previous bosses (still a great friend) used to always talk about his hometown of Baltimore with beaming pride. He's a man of good taste so I'll let him vouch completely for this city I know very little about. So why Baltimore?

Another good friend (the writer/creator of Purpose ReDesign Studio in Tallahassee) forwarded me the gorgeous Etsy shop that featured the killer Tshirt scarf on RWD's fashion/beauty roundup today. Make sure to go check out those finds too!

So moving along, featured above are six fabulous artisans with their Etsy store links below. Let's dissect. How about that amazing vintage 1950s/1960s fruit bowl in the number one for under $20? Love it! You know my love of turquoise so that Cloud 9 wall art caught my eye right away. I'm also a sucker for a dog portrait (this artist does custom too) and how about the farm print featured on the great mug on the bottom left? So chic and such a good conversation piece.

Obviously, some fabulous finds on Etsy from Baltimore artists...remember to browse through the artisans shops at great length via the links below. Bravo to all the awesome Baltimore artisans. Enjoy and make sure to check out ALL of our Portland fashion and beauty finds too on our sister blog - RunwayDaily right HERE!
