So last night I had my girls over for some Bags of Grace makin' goodness. More on what that is right HERE. I happened to have a few bottles of wine so we started with one red and then clearly emptied that with the quickness. As I was opening up our second bottle (featured above), it popped like a bottle of champagne. Not thinking anything of it and praying the 'pop' didn't mean it was a bad bottle, I walked out to the dining room and poured a glass. Much to my surprise it popped and fizzed and one of the girl's stared at me in surprise!
So, with that being said, there is nothing on the label that even remotely alluded to the fact that this here vino is a sparkling beaut. Hence, my title, "Red Wine Trickster!" I apologized for having no idea what I was truly serving (because it would have obviously been chilled) and told my girls to just enjoy it, European style (warm). After Juanita's first sip, she glanced over at me with a huge smile. I then gulped down my last few sips of the previous glass of Malbec and poured myself a smaller glass of Dulcis. My life is now changed, ha!What glided into my mouth was nothing shy of pure delight. Sweet but not over-powering, this sparkling red packs a tasty punch. Every lady at the table proceeded to 'oooh and ahhh' while checking out the label and asking where I purchased it. Don't forget that I adore using my trusty Soiree (more on that HERE) to aerate and open up any glass/bottle of wine. I checked it's review out on Snooth HERE and it's totally earned 4 1/2 stars and 23 reviews! If you spot this bottle at your local grocer, grab a few and served chilled on a warm summer afternoon! Enjoy!
PS - For all of you that keep on top of my clean eating habits, I'm aware that red wine on a Wednesday night is not kosher with eating clean all week. A girl has just gotta splurge every once in a while, right?
