So the master bedroom is moving along nicely. I can't believe I'm actually posting pictures of an unfinished product but truthfully, aren't our homes always a work in progress? I think so! I was having lunch with a dear friend recently who has spent almost four years of non-stop home remodeling and design and I said, 'Don't you just sigh knowing that you're to-do list is so much shorter?' She honestly nearly spit out her drink...she said their to-do list is longer than ever and never get shorter. So there you have it, homeowners both new and old will always have their home to-do lists.
Back to the post at hand...just a sneak peek into how the master bedroom is coming along. Remember my original post HERE? We went from highlighter yellow walls to a subtle mud colored Freshaire paint hue called Of the Earth and we are adoring it!
I've gotten numerous emails asking me to share the after pics of the IKEA wardrobe hack that CC Hubs initiated. Here it is in all its glory, chock-full of tons of clothes and numerous accessories. I'll be sure to take some pics of the inside to see you how the took two existing IKEA wardrobe and added inside space. Also, I'm sure you recognize those DIY lamps on our bedside tables. They're serving a serious purpose at the moment so I'm thankful they got a design re-haul.
We truly have so many more plans for this space and are thinking about using beadboard to cover the headboard area and use a floating white shelf to display some amazing white framed artwork. Another personal touch, we're also contemplating using outdoor sconces as our bedside lighting. Remember the bottom left master bath we featured HERE in our inspiration lineup? That's where we got the idea and love it.
This is, by no means, a design set in stone but just some ideas we've talked through and seriously thought about so I feel I can give it the green light to post. To give you a more concrete idea of what I'm talking about, I've enlisted the use of Polyvore and provided you with a supreme layout for visual purposes. I use Polyvore frequently on our sister fashion blog RunwayDaily and have even visited their headquarters in California too (click HERE to see the pics). Hope it lets you better understand where we plan on going with our master bedroom. Enjoy!
